Why we do it

We’re all human and we need each other.

A small difference is still a difference.

Anyone can make a difference.  Especially you.

Helping others is the right thing to do.

We can all use help from time-to-time.

Everyone deserves hope, love and community.

We’re all human and we need each other.

A small difference is still a difference.

Anyone can make a difference.  Especially you.

Helping others is the right thing to do.

We can all use help from time-to-time.

Everyone deserves hope, love and community.

We do what we do to instill hope and dignity back into someone’s life. We have come across homeless people who have cried and thanked us for even speaking to them, we once spoke with a man who had not been spoken to in three years.

Our city has so many beautiful things to offer, but unfortunately, it has a large homeless population and we cannot pretend they are invisible. We want to be difference-makers in our community.

A message from

Greg Young

I do what I do for many reasons being the fact that homeless people are still human beings. There have been many times where a homeless person has cried and thanked me more than ever because I was speaking to them. 1 guy told me he hasn’t had anyone speak to him in 3 years. He felt invisible and the fact that I was touching his shoulders and chatting with him made his day Big time.

I have called Ft. Lauderdale my home for almost 25 years. There is so much life and beauty in my city and unfortunately a huge homeless population. I have one mission and it’s so simple yet so powerful. I want to be a difference-maker in every aspect of my life but especially in my community. I may just be one man, but I have a talent, a powerful story and a passion to change the world one haircut at a time.

I do it to instill hope and dignity back into someone’s life. On July 7th, 2013 I walked into an AA meeting and decided enough was enough. I was completely surrendering and I was ready to do absolutely whatever it took to stay sober. I made the choice to just keep doing the next right thing day after day. It was not an easy road by any means but I knew I could never go back to the way I had been living. As the years went by and my sobriety got stronger so did I! I learned who I was and what I was truly passionate about. It was people. I just genuinely love people and I believe everyone has a story worth sharing. I eventually was blessed enough to be able to open my own barbershop.
